I've 'Disabled hardware checksum offload' and I'm running Linux Bridges on Proxmox through to PFSense of vmbr x2. Obviously the doubling of latency isn't *that* much an issue, but the add-on loss is. In the attached screenshot, all three of those tunnel gateways, when my next hop is at its 6-7ms 'normal' state, average between 38-45ms.
This latency/loss appears to compound onto the three IPSec tunnels I'm running. So I haven't had this issue in the past, but I've noticed, in the past couple days, I'm seeing random latency jumps from a steady 6-7ms to 30-60ms to my internet provider router next hop, sometimes with associated loss. I know that opens the door to a couple layered issues but I'm already here now and until I can install 23.x directly onto a box with i-226v interfaces I'm probably just going to have to leave it this way.
